Keeping it minimal

Here's a little mix I made before going to Portugal the other week. Tried to go for some summery minimal vibes, which sounded great out there, but doesn't go quite so well with the gloom of being back in Blighty. Oh well.

Tracklisting is...

Insiders - Swimsuit Issue (Dub)
Simian Mobile Disco - Wooden (Uncut)
Friends Electric - Burning Desire (instrumental)
Dahlback & Dahlback - Bempa
Ink & needle - tattoo 4
Larry Heard - The Sun Can't Compare
Justin Martin - The Fugitive
Oliver Huntemann feat. Chelonis Jones - Scary Love
Leroy Styles - Frodo (Ringmaster Mix)
Monoroom - Memory Inc. (Gui Boratto Remix)

Here's my latest chart if anyone's interested. All tracks can be found from the usual places....

Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire (Joakim Remix)
- Simply brilliant, might be my favorite thing Joakim's done, and that's saying something.

Snax - Honeymoon's Over (Konrad Black Remix)
- Discovered this on Ewan Pearson's excellent Fabric Mix CD. A summer smash if ever there was one.

Aliens - Robot Man (Riton Re-Rub)
- 'I am the robot man!' Wicked little electro remix from Riton

Sebastien Tellier, Mr Oizo, Sebastian - Chivers as a Female
- Lovely number from the 'Steak' soundtrack. Shame its so damn short.

Dahlback & Dahlaback - Bempa
- Filthy acid number on Tiga's Turbo Records. Starts off really minimal then just explodes.

Trevor Loveys - Finger Jackin' / Organ Grinder
- Everyone loves the Organ Grinder for it's DJ Shadow riff, but I think I prefer Finger Jackin' . Great EP all round.

Rodion - J Bunker
- Gomma Records is quickly taking over from Kitsune as European electronic label of choice. Great Italo disco vibes on this one.

Eyerer & Chopstick - Haunting (Christopher Just Remix / Kompowski's Klaxons Re-Edit)
- From January's mix, really simple re-edit but it works a treat. Send me an email if you want a copy.

CSS - Let's Make Love (Streetlife DJs Remix)
- CSS over Rappinghood's 'Words'. Pure cheese but I love it.

Hot Chip - My Piano
- Been around a few months now, but stills rocks the end of any set. Can't wait for the album (whenever that may be)

Finally thanks to anyone who's come to see me or let me play over the past months. Thought the transition from vinyl to CDJ was going to be tricky, but I think I've got it sussed. Keep them peeled for more dates as I have them.
